I just saw a preloved Tiffany Harmony ring which was never worn with the following data:

0.20 ct. F VVS1
€ 1.600,00
Triple Ex
Fluorescence: none
Total Depth Percentage: 62.5 %
Table Size Percentage: 54 %
Crown Angle: 33.7
Pavillon Angle: 40.9

The result is a value of 1.1 for the HCA Cut Calculator. It says: "Low HCA Scores and bigger sizes diamonds can appear dark when viewed close up."

The sentence unsettles me a little. Would it make sense to buy this used ring? I'm afraid that the diamond will actually look dark.

What is the price? Are you going to be ok with a relatively small stone?

The diamond is fine and worth about 500 USD, considering it is well cut and from Tiffany.
You are basically paying 1500 USD for the setting.

Assuming it is in NEW condition, it is a reasonable buy IMO.

The ring will cost € 1,600, which is currently $ 1961.74. I am looking for a ring with a smaller diamond size. I already have the Tiffany Setting in 0.34 carat, but I wear it very seldom because it is too big for me and I get stuck everywhere due to the frame that stands tall in the setting.

I have seen Tiffany harmony rings with similar specs for less. A brand new one from Tiffany’s is $1500 for .17 carats.

If you know you'll like the size and the setting is in like new condition with all paperwork, etc, then it seems fair-ish to me. But I do think you should search Ebay for other options with paperwork, etc.

Actually I'm realizing as I look at Ebay (only at ones with authentication type info) that this seems overpriced.

Examples:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/TIFFANY-Co...41eeb77e249b8ad1f5a3|ampid:PL_CLK|clp:2334524

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Auth-TIFFA...465810?hash=item3439c44e52:g:DBsAAOSwggRf3Cmw (I wiould want the vendor to send pics of the diamond inscription since there isn't paperwork)

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tiffany-Pt...785413?hash=item4db8324a85:g:5~MAAOSwqBFfv1gj (can't see the certificate so I would want to see the numbers of the diamond, etc).

No.

There are so many counterfeit Tiffany items on eBay, I wouldn't touch it. Why not get a new one from Tiffany for close to the same price?

I’d also just buy one from Tiffany’s for not much more. At least you’ll know it’s real.

Might be worth thinking about settings too if you find that the 0.34ct ring catches on stuff.
