Should I size up for an Eternity Band?

Hey All,

Quick question... I am in the process of getting quotes for an Emerald Cut Eternity band. I wear a ring size 4.0-4.25 on my ring finger... I have noticed my rings starting to feel a bit tighter over the years... natural swelling, weather, kids etc. I was thinking of having it made as a size 4.25, but it will be for .40 pointers, so this will be a fairly thick band... should I go with a size 4.5? Thoughts? Since I am going full Eternity re-sizing isn't an option, and I don't want to leave any space for it, I want a full eternity.

Appreciate your insight!

I would go up. If 4.5 is a tad loose they can put a sizing bead in it that can be removed later if need be. What kind of setting will the
emerald cuts be in? Basket? U-prong?

The reason I ask is that U-prong tend to fit looser because there is a little room where your finger can spread out in between the
stones compared to basket set.

Thank you!! It will be a basket, while I LOVE the look of the U prong, I’ve heard it’s less comfortable and stones can become loose in that setting. I’m leaning towards a 4.5 size, so your response was helpful!

I love eternity bands and have learned to size up.
My thin band engagement ring is 6.25. My new (4MM) eternity band is a 6.5. I like to stack eternity bands so the thinner ones I even have sized up to 6.75.
I hope this helps!

HI:

Size up.

cheers--Sharon
