Show me the...earrings?

I know all of you have endured more than your fair share of my whining, groaning, and general grumpiness about not getting my Preciousssss e-ring yet (even though it came home on Feb 13th!) but here''s a story that may warm your heart as it warmed my ears...

I came home to a box just calling out my name...I suppose I have been pretty cranky, teasing my BF evey single day with a "Can I have my bling now?" that he took pity. He told me my ring was in the box, and that he wanted me to finally see it. And I was so eager, but I was begining to get a bit upset, because he delayed my "proposal" for what? This casual night in the kitchen? It was only irritating because he percisely made a big stink about "making it a bit more special" and needing the time... So I opened the box, grumpier than ever...

He got me a precious set of tiny diamond round cut earrings that sparkle to high heaven!!!

I tried to take pictures (almost immediately of course) and am going to try and post them tomorrow, but I had to share this little story tonight.

They are .486 and .488 cts, H, SI1''s and they are just the sweetest!!! I love them and since I never owned round stones before, these knock me out because they sparkle LIKE MAD for such little guys! It''s like the wattage of a 1ct on each ear!!! He got them from the same jeweler we got our e-ring from and I just love them to pieces...Ok pics tomorrow!!! it''s time to pretend to sleep and not dream about diamonds!!!

I have an olympus camera that definitely is good quality although it is almost 4years old. But zoom function sucks on this thing.

I bought a digital camcorder that takes pretty lousy pics but the zoom is wonderful. I would never print these pics out but they look nice on the web. my avatar is my ering upclose and personal. I couldn't find the right proportions so that's why it looks a little squished.

I heard the NIKON cameras are great cameras to take diamond pics.

Anyways, nice earrings. I hope to post mine one day...If I find the right pair. It's been a long uneventful two months now. Hopefully something will turn up.

Those are beautiful earrings! Mine are .50ct each, but they are not ideal cut, H-I color, and SI2 clarity. They do sparkle nicely, but not like yours.

They are not H&A by brand, but they sure do sparkle! I hate all the pictures I posted they seem so blurred and terrible, but I'll practice for my e-ring!




Mara, we finally got my e-ring from a B&M Philmar Jewelers, who was a retailers for Henry Grossbard's The Radiant Cuts. I loved the stone when I saw it! It's just so wonderful, but again, my memory fades, and I haven't seen it in so long!

my poor baby must be so sad and confused without me right now in some dank dark corner of a closet I have yet to rip apart...

We set it in a temp 14K white gold setting for now.




The specs are as I remember only...

It's a 1.73, E, VVS2, radiant cut with Depth & Table UNDER 70% (don't remember what they were specifically)




But, I DO remember it being VERY sparkly even for a radiant, so that was great! I remember it had the best fire out of all of them too, and I got to take it utside and see it shine inside, outside and in the dark. I can't wait to get it, if he hasn't gotten the Farrari yet...

It seems like your BF is keeping the ring away from you just long enough for you to forget exactly what it looks like. Then, when you see the ring you'll be blown away all over again by how beautiful it looks. With all this anticipation, I'm sure when it finally happens it will be really wonderful.

Actually the average NYC diamond e-ring is about 1.5...That's a honker, becuase my girlfriends both engaged THIS MONTH, got 1cts. One was a solitarie D, VVS1, and the other girl got a 1ct with .5 sidestones I think....I have yet to see it.




Also they seem tiny, because I have been wearing "faux" princess cut diamond earrings for a while and they are 2ct. I suppose they would seem tiny compared to CZ monsters!!! But wow do they sparkle!




Other friends have 2.03cts, my wealthier friend has a 3.5 ct, and some others about those sizes... But size is NOT what counts. GETTING it does...

I used to wear 1 - 1.25 ct each cz earrings with my business clothes, and am now finding myself scaling down -- the 1ct each seem to big for my everyday lifestyle (which is pretty casual). I've even tried a pair of .25each bezel set cz's lately, and I like them a lot. Maybe you'll get used to those little sparklers and have a lot of fun with them

Lop...hee hee thanks for that!!! atually, my CZ days are gone, they are great, but now I like the sparkle of these guys more than size...Actually I was looking in the mirror yesterday and they are actually larger than I first thought. I love them!! I may go up to a 1ct in a few years, definately ACA or H&A, but for now, these are demure and simple and BIG...

I didn't mean to offend anyone, but against the 2ct princess CZs I had they were TINY, and now that they have been on my ears, my ears realize they are JUST RIGHT!!!! plsu my boy gave them to me...
