I used to think I needed only one pair of "perfect" piercing on my ears.
When I was 8, my mother took me to the local jeweler's in Singapore and the lady used a piercing gun which shot the earrings into my ears. It looked like a gun, shot the earring into your ear, and hurt a darned lot. The shame was that the gun was so inaccurate in aiming, that when I turned 22 in 2002, I realised I couldn't live with my earholes in the centre of my ears. By that time, there were local vendors offering piercings "clip-style" that were a lot less painful. I redid the piercings on both ears, and was happier with the new placement.
However, being such a pedantic, in 2010 I was starting to find that the repiercing in my right ear, still a tad further away from where I would've liked. So I had it repierced in the middle of last year. It is a wee bit closer to my face than my left ear piercing, (probably about 0.5mm difference) but I am overall contented.
Sorry that I can't get the picture upright!! But from left to right: my first piercing (in the middle of the ear), 2nd piercing done in 2002, and my last and final piercing done in 2010.
Of late, I have started finding the idea of multiple earholes, very attractive! I recall seeing some of your earshots of baby studs in bezels and martinis and they were gorgeous!
I work in a conservative job in a bank, and I am client facing all the time. Would it be ok for me to sport 2 diamond studs? I currently own 2 pairs of diamond studs: 1.2 ctw white gold martini studs, and 1.6 ctw yellow gold bezel studs. Sometime in the near future, I hope to own a third pair of 2.55 ctw platinum martini studs.
What size studs and settings would you recommend? At this point it seems that a martini setting would go with both sets of earrings quite well.
Please show me your multiple ear piercings and how you usually wear your diamond studs in them?
P.S. Can anyone suggest how high up in my earlobes should the second earholes be placed?
I'd be really happy to see what you have to say!
