Hi, I am going back and forth between getting either one of these sets, and I would love to see them for real. If you have either just the engagement ring or the complete set, please post pictures!

One engagement ring is 2.1mm thick and has 1/4 tcw. The other is 2.9mm thick and has 1/2 tcw.

Please post so that I can get an idea of how these look - especially if you have a 3/4 carat princess cut diamond. Thanks!

Hi!!! I don't actually have one of these sets but I have a friend who has a very similar setting. I personally think that the thinner band would look better with a stone of that size. The thinner the band the larger the stone looks IMO :) I'm sure whatever u decide will look lovely!!

Agree - I'd go with the thinner band every time...to me it always makes the stone look bigger!

Sorry I don't have a picture to post! Just wanted to chime in with a suggestion. Could you go to a jeweler and try on bands of the same or very similar widths? I went to try on rings last week and the thicker bands looked so much better on my hand (I'm tall and have long hands and wear a size 6.5 ring). The jeweler said that the thinner the band, the larger the diamond looks, but for me I preferred the look of the thicker band on my hand, so i'm going with that, even if it doesn't make the center stone look as big.

These are very very similar to my setting:

Which is "The Jen" set from BGD. http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/home/ring-details/?product_id=5702

Anyways, I vote for the thinner band to make the stone pop. My stone is 1 ct and the band is 2.0 mm. You can look at my old setting (I believe the corrected link is in that upgrade post) and it was a .728 ct princess with a plain cathedral setting and the widest point was 3mm. It shrank the stone IMO. So I vote for a thinner setting. JMO. :)

Thanks! I do too! I'm still so super excited with it months later. That's a good sign. There is nothing I don't love about it. :)

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts. I went with the thinner band. I think it will make the solitaire "pop" more. :)
Hoofbeats, I especially liked the pictures of your rings! They are gorgeous!!

She loved them!! She was absolutely stunned! Here's a picture for you.
