I've always loved the slight blue hue of a SBF or VSBF diamond, especially when they're otherwise icy white.

I'd love to see examples from folks here! I'm in the early stages of a project plan and want some eye candy :)

The first is a 0.74ct D SI1 ideal cut w SBF in 2 different settings

The second is a 1.83ct E SI1 squat emerald cut w SBF

Another! .56 carat

Sorry kind of off topic but I have a GIA certified RB, that is E in colour and medium yellow fluorescence. I think the blue fluor. can be pretty, and add to the whiteness, I've heard

@Star gazer and anyone else: I wrote SBF because I know blue is the most common type, but I'm happy to see any stones with fluor!

Ah gotcha. Ok I am attaching a few pics with natural (but dimmer) lighting, and a couple closer to the window for more light. For reference, 2 carat E SI2, Excellent cut GIA cert. MEDIUM yellow fluor.20230213_161630.jpg

Watching with interest!

For reference, this is the look I covet haha. Pic from an old ps thread that I found on google image search but dpnt know the OP. Screenshot_20230213-082048_Chrome.jpg

Obsessed with this!

@lovedogs OK, internet friend, if it will help you decide to get the funky oval, see below for how underwhelming SBF can be even in D color. Not saying it isn’t pretty, just that if you want glowing blue, maybe LGD blue nuance is your friend.

This diamond is a 59/59 D color, VS2 clarity, a little over a carat.

I had a strong blue that just turned milky in the sun. Not a dreamy look at all. Looked like a dirty diamond - the "oily" film look.
