Show me your single or double halo cushion (0.9ct sz5 prefer

So I got a 0.9 ct cushion and set my heart on halo setting. I'm a sz 4.75. I'm torn between a single or double halo though - not sure if double would be too chunky but single too poor coverage? Could u show me the hand shot pics of your rings so I can see the actual effect? Thank u so very much!

What are you the dimensions of your cushion? I have a cushion double halo in the works for my approx. 6 mm round diamond. I wear a size 5.75 so it could be helpful. May be a week or two before it is finished, but I will update with photos when its complete

Hi Pricescopenewbie, I'm going through a similar dilemma, I have been thinking of purchasing a yellow diamond halo ring and am concerned about finger coverage/ bulkiness too. My budget only allows for a 1 carat diamond. I purchased a pre-owned Tiffany legacy at Christmas with a 6 mm aqua and it measures 10 mm with the halo…and I am a little disappointed in the finger coverage. (I wear a 4.25) I guess some of this is personal preference, there are quite a few PS'ers who have a similar size stone in a single halo and are very happy with it. I think I just like rings with a lot of hand presence. And cushions face up a bit smaller than rounds I have found a few rings on DBL that I like but like you, worry the halo might be a little bulky in comparison with the center stone. But then I won't get the finger coverage I'm looking for lol!

Here is Wintotty's double halo ring that she has since sold…her stone is .79 and has a nice face-up size for the carat weight - 5.93x4.80. Her ring size is 6, but it will give you an idea on finger coverage. Her halo looks delicate and not bulky at all. If you use the google search you might find other rings. I know Athenaworth has a beautiful single halo yellow diamond ring you can check out.

thanks girls for your suggestions! mine is 5.3X5.3. so I guess the double halo themselves will be almost as wide as the stone. and since mine is yellow diamond, I feel that halos always make a colored stone look smaller. so...still can't decide...

here I find another soleste style just for reference. hers is white diamond and I think double halo compliments white diamonds and make them look bigger. Here's SB621's double halo - the measurements of her stone are close to yours, hers is 5.41x5.24. I think her ring size is about a 6. I think this looks really pretty and I don't think the halo overwhelms the stone.

You can check out the Diamonds by Lauren website too - most of the rings include hand shots so you can get an idea of finger coverage - I think the hand model has about a size 5 finger.

I don't know, if I decide to get a yellow diamond ring I'll go with a double halo, I just think I'll like the additional finger coverage.

eta - Pricescopenewbie, if you don't mind my asking, where did you purchase your diamond? And have you decided who is going to make your setting?

i am not sure who i should go for setting yet. i'm contacting different vendors. if i do double halo, i'd like it to be delicate and really like soleste but maybe not vc price. do you by any chance have any suggestions who i should go?

If you are looking for a delicate halo without the VC Price Tag, I would suggest Chris at Brilliantly Engaged. They did my delicate halo for my cushion diamond and I most recently requested a quote for a halo on a round diamond.
They do great work with pave and delicate halos without the hefty pricetag.
Another vendor would be Eternity by Yoni, if you do a search here or go to their website you can see all the different settings Yoni has.

Your diamond is beautiful PN! I'm considering a similar ring, and yes, as much as I'd like a VC halo, I don't know if the budget agrees lol. I was thinking BE might be a good choice. And maybe Maytal Hannah? Her prices might be closer to VC's but if I decide to go this route I might get a quote from her.

I noticed Leibish has a double halo setting - a PS'er recently got her setting from Leibish and it looks very nice. Only available in 18k gold though, I guess.
