I’ve always loved target rings, and I’m guessing there are some pretty fabulous ones out there in Pricescopers’ jewelry boxes! Please share!

I have one such ring and I love it, but I will admit to a craving for a lovely Art Deco style target ring with a diamond center and a sapphire halo...yummy!

This is my target ring. I know embarrassingly little about it, as it was a pre-PS purchase. Diamond and onyx set in platinum, made by Simon G. I love it.

They are all so gorgeous! I just LOVE that target style. I’m not sure why, exactly. Colored stones aren’t my thing in other contexts, but put them in a halo and SWOON. I figured there would be a ton of this style on PS, but this is all I have found in my searches so far!

It was a custom piece from Tianyu. Since it’s not a diamond I think I have to leave it at that ;-)
Sapphires are my daughter’s birth stone and my favorite gem stone so I love pieces like this :kiss2:
 
Is it still called a target ring if it’s all diamonds? I already have rings with sapphires in pink and blue and a ruby one..nothing fancy but I do have them..I love the style but wondering if it was all done in diamonds..would it still be called a target ring..?

I was wondering the same thing! I found this one on Pinterest a few weeks ago. They call it a “bulls eye” ring, which seems synonymous with target ring.

Oh gosh that ruby halo is amazing. I adore target rings and would love to have a diamond with sapphire halo. I've spent more time than I'd care to admit lusting after them .. I had found this one on Etsy but wasn't quick enough and somebody else had scooped her up. I love the shape of it!

Oh so pretty, all of these! I am going to keep a watch on this thread for inspiration as I have a tsavorite that I might use a similar style for.
 
@jbake The first one looks more like a halo because the center stone is so big..but there’s a fine line it seems even with cluster rings. I would love a smaller center diamond and then a bezel and then step cuts, French cuts or baguettes going east west..going around somehow with white gold or platinum..I LOVE ALL THE RINGS AND I WANT THEM ALL! :cry2: Trying to choose what I want this year is going to be tough..That love dart will hit me..I hope..and then I won’t have to make a decision..

Hmmm... honestly, I don’t know! When i saw your question i thought I would lean towards calling it a halo...but then I thought about it and I think of halos as having smaller stones than targets? That’s a really interesting question!

If I ever upgrade my ering, I’ll set the current stone in a target halo.

What gemstones would you use for the halo if you did upgrade and go with a target? I love sapphire targets and that would be my choice! But there are a lot of other beautiful options here, too.

It does make me wonder whether any of these settings would let you stack with a band....
