Hi I am new and this is my first post. I really like the Danhov Meno ME1 Halo but boyfriend wants to purchase the diamond and the ring from one place. So we are considering the WhiteFlash Halo Bezel. I wanted to see what it looks like in real life before we make our decision. Please post pictures on here if you have this setting!!

Thanks!

Just FYI, jamesallen.com sells diamonds and they have the danhov meno setting. Jamesallen.com is a recommended pricescope vendor.

DMBsgirl thanks for the post. I think he said James Allen diamonds were alot more than the ones on Whiteflash for the same specs. Also, I just checked on james allen a few minutes ago and the Danhov ME1 price is now $2000. It was $1700 a few days ago. So my bf thinks it would be more cost-effective to purchase from WhiteFlash..
I wonder if Whiteflash can do the melee in Pave and not bead setting for a nominal price difference.

I would be very surprised if that were true! ETA: If his prices were significantly higher than PS vendors for the same or very similar stones, he wouldn't be so freely recommended

There's probably another factor coming in to play (cut grade, etc.) that makes the price difference your bf noticed.

That said, if you know you're going to buy the setting through whiteflash (for whatever reason), then it is certainly easier (and slightly cheaper--you'd be saving shipping costs, etc.) to have them source your diamond.

Agreed! I''ve always found Whiteflash''s prices to be slightly higher.

Thanks for the feedback!! Does anyone have the Whiteflash Halo Bezel? I would like to see more pictures of it. I appreciate your help. Thanks!!

nwonderland, is that the whiteflash piece that halolover was asking about? It looks so different! Did they do custom tweaks on it?

thanks canukgirl for the threads! I think i have finally figured out what i want.. WF Bezel Halo with some minor variations like a thinner metal lining between the center and the halo (i am not sure if there is a word for that.. bezel lining perhaps?)

PS vendors run the gamut on pricing...but most are pretty competitive. Cut quality can definitely play a role in the pricing of the stone. James Allen does not cut their own stones, they get them from external sources, WF cuts their own and sources them externally as well. Be sure your bf is comparing apples to apples re: the stone cut quality...not just price alone.

I''ve tried on the WF halo bezels, they have two...one is pave and one is prong set....not familiar with the Danhov but be sure that you get what you really want when all is said and done! Good luck.

Nope, mine was not from Whiteflash and I''ve never seen the one that Halolover was referring to before.

nwonderland,

What is the size of your band in mm? Also, how point diamonds are in the band? I am having the ring custom made so I am debating between 1.8 or 2mm band with 2 pointer diamonds. My center is a RB but i''d like my band to look like yours since i LOVE yours. Thanks for all your help :)
