It''s finally done! I am SO happy with how this turned out and I know it will burn a hole in my pocket until I give it to my girlfriend. Ok, so this is an 1.752 carat H VS2 H&A from Good Old Gold put in a custom setting of 10 pointers. We liked the "U" shape of the setting and my jeweler (local guy on jewelers row in Chicago) thought to make the head "U" shaped as well. And it turned out great. woo hoo!! (Thanks Sarah at GOG too! You are really the best!)

She wanted round with diamonds on the side in eternity and I took it from there. I''m proud of my work here and lots of thanks goes to PS and this forum for the research help!

I forgot to mention that with the center stone at 1.752 ct, the total carat weight of both rings is 5.55 carats. Can you tell I''m excited to propose!
