That''s some ring! Amazing colour and the setting is just out of this world. Did he design it especially for her or was it a setting that he''d already designed?

What a beautiful ring!!! I love anything Simon G., but this is a true beauty

The setting was already designed. The ring my sister tried on had, I believe, a blue stone in it. Maybe a topaz? I don''t know if that is what Simon G. intended or if that is just what the jewelry store had. My sister got the ring I think about a year ago, so I also do not know how old the setting design is.

My sister at first ordered the setting and asked to have a green stone put in instead (I think tourmaline??). A few weeks later she decided her true desire was to have a pink stone. I went with her once while she was trying to make up her mind. I had no idea there were so many pink gemstones! She finally decided on rubellite.

She was told that it would be easy to change her order to rubellite, even though she had already ordered the setting with something else. Everyone was so accomodating, it was a very pleasant experience!

At the last Simon G. jewelry event, a woman was there discussing a custom pendant she would like for him to design for her. I would love

to have him do that for me someday!!! If anyone ever gets a chance to meet him, go for it! He is honestly a sweetheart and I can''t say enough good things about him. Oh, and my sister showed him her ring, and he said he really liked her choice of rubellite in the setting.

I completely agree! I LOVE all of the Simon G. pieces. My mom and my sister have a few other gorgeous pieces by him. I hope sometime this year I may get a chance to take pictures and post them.

The ring is beautiful!!! The workmanship on Simon G''s rings is so precise. I have a wide Simon G flower ring that I now wear as a RHR, and I have gotten more compliments on that ring than any other piece of jewelry I own. I have looked at it under my 10X loupe, and each of the beads in his pave is placed so perfectly. I would not hesitate to buy another of his pieces in the future.

Lovely ring and stone. Rubellite and diamonds, like merlot in a crystal glass.
