I have been trying to update my wedding set this year. Turns out, I prefer plain and simple the best. Introducing my new setting. Platinum, solitaire with 3 mm plain band. When I was searching for ideas/inspiration, I scoured the internet and older threads. Feel free to share your solitaire and plain bands too, so others can get ideas as well. It’s timeless, classic, and the most important part for me-it’s comfortable!!!

Here is a thread with lots of solitaires. I know there is another thread that shows all the solitaire with plain bands. On the hunt for it.

Your set is beautiful and I love how you found what you love. It is so shiny and your diamond is gorgeous! And yes the most important factor is....comfort!!!
 
Really beautiful set! I like the swoop on the crown and am a sucker for cathedral settings. I forget how shiny platinum is when it’s new. My pieces are all old and worn but I don’t hate the patina. I like both looks.

Great to hear it’s comfy. Looks great on you! Congrats on your update!
 
Can't beat a classic look, which is also my favourite! Congratulations - they look beautiful!

There is also a thread somewhere on solitaire with plain bands - well worth a look & adding yours to it :kiss2:

Beautiful! I'm sort of a "clean lines" type of person too. As much as I love seeing everyone's halos and blingy pave settings they just
don't feel right on me. I don't get it! I'm sure if I purchased something that was a little more blingy and wore it for a while I would
probably get used to it and it would feel a little more "me" but due to cost I don't want to take that chance of something not growing
on me. So, I'll just enjoy everyone else's blingy settings!

Oh.My.God!!!!! That is drop-dead gorgeous. Is that a Tiffany ring too? What size is the stone? It’s just perfect!!!

Thank you! The concert was Amazing! His voice is so beautiful and my favorite was the song with his daughter, Hallelujah. My son bought tickets and took me, so it was special. Had to snap a pic because the lighting was better than a supermarket!

It's a Tiffany-style setting. I'm not crazy enough to pay Tiffany prices for my diamonds! (Not that there's anything wrong with that - I just don't have the funds!)

It's a 4.1 ct J color James Allen True Hearts stone. I had a 2ct D color H&A before this, but I succumbed to size! It's still a wonderful cut.
