Probably a tall order bc I need one with a skinny loop. I have a pendant and the bale is so annoyingly narrow that the only chain I have that fits is a sterling chain that has a narrow loop. I have plenty of chains but even the smaller loops, being more of a circle, won’t fit!! So hoping someone has one of 16-18” and a box chain or similar. I’m showing a pic of what I mean. The top one does NOT fit, the bottom does.

Hi @Mreader, I purchased 2 white gold chains from Yvonne Raley ages ago, can find one immediately and am happy to send you a photo so you can gauge size. Let me know--

Here is a photo of the clasp, next to a very old US measurement ruler:

I will find an LT listing and contact you; I just edited my post to include an LT with mine (I had forgotten to do that before) as well as another pic with a red arrow. Is the loop that the claw goes in more of a narrow oval shape or a circle? That's where I get stuck in terms of it being able to thread through the bale.

Can you squeeze the round ring with pliers or something to make it more oval like the one shown on the bottom of your first photo.

I definitely thought about that haha. Just worried I would break it entirely. But I'll have DH have a look perhaps and see what he thinks as he's pretty handy with these types of things.

When I transferred my original diamond to a solitaire pendant, I brought a chain from home to wear it on, when I went to pick it up. The jeweler was going to squeeze the ring to make it more oval, when it wouldn't fit through the new bail. Just be gentle and squeeze slowly. Or just take it to a local jeweler to have them do it.

If you have a chain you like that accommodates the pendant, have you considered just buying a white gold oval jump ring and switching them out?

I just checked Rio Grande and they do not seem to list an oval white gold jump ring (they do have yellow gold), but perhaps you'd be open to an Argentium or Sterling Silver oval jump ring? Or check another jewelry finding company?

I've done it. When I had my rose gold pendant made my chain wouldn't fit through (it's a slide pendant), so I just squeezed the loop, as @RMOO says, gently and slowly. Even if you mess it up, then you could just take it to a jeweler to have the loop replaced and bring the pendant with you so the jeweler can make it fit.

Just grab a pair of pliers and gently squash a bit. Won’t break the end link but it’s a one shot job. So gently, just a bit.
