Ladies, I am in need of some help. My sister is my MOH and she wears a 5.5 Wide Width shoe. I have searched and searched and am having a devil of a time finding anything smaller than a sz 6 in wide width. Can anyone suggest any cute shoes for my bridal party that even my sister can wear?

eta: I have attached a pic of their dress.

Here''s a weird question:
Can she wear a 6? I ask because I have wide feet in size 7-7 1/2. But I often wear a size 8 shoe. Depends on the shoe.

I will ask her. I think she usually wears a 5 or 5.5. I think I have only seen her in heels once in my entire life and they were those squarish full pumps. It would open up a lot of possibilities if she can wear a 6 :)

I recommend looking at Nordstroms or Nordstrom.com or Zappos. I''ve seen 5.5 sized shoes there before. At Zappos you can search by size so you''ll only see options available in the size you''re looking for. Also, a woman I used to work with had to go to a specialty store for shoes because her feet were so small...but she always had cute ones so I think there have to be resources available for off-sized shoe needs.

Do all the girls have to wear the same shoes? Different shoes fit differently so I don''t think there will be one pair that will be great for everyone. What I did is have my BM''s wear the same color shoes, but they got to pick out whatever they wanted. They all really appreciated that. I figured I wanted them to be comfortable and if I was making them all wear the same dress (which never looks perfect on everyone) then the least I could do was let them have an individual choice in their shoes.

Kids shoes may be your best bet! I think a Kids 4=womens 5.5 .. and they tend to be a bit wider than adult shoes.. My best friend has very small but wide feet too.. probably smaller than 5 really, but she always found that kids shoes just fit the shape of her foot better.

Blue- I will check out Nordstrom or Zappos and see what they''ve got. I figured I might have to go specialty with her, but really was at a disadvantage because she never wears heels so even she doesn''t know where to get them. There is a specialty and dance shoe store here that I suspect may be able to give me some guidance- I will try them too.

Pebbles- I originally was going to let them all pick out their own shoes, but because of the color of the dress (palamino) I imagine they could come up with many different shades that would look good with it. I saw a horrendous picture recently where all the bridesmaids picked their own shoes and they all had very different styles and shades of the same color. I guess that kind of freaked me out a little and turned me off of the different shoe idea. If they wear something that is same color, material, and general style to what my sister gets then I don''t think I would have a problem with them each wearing something different. Do you have a picture of what your girls wore?

MS- I didn''t think about kid''s shoes. I will see what I can find there. I know she does buy her tennis shoes in kid''s sizes, so I will see what kind of dress shoe selection there is out there for kiddos.

Thanks guys for your suggestions.

My BM wore floor length dresses and you don''t see their shoes in any of the pics. The dresses were peach and ivory chiffon so I told them to get ivory shoes; they all wound up being similar shades. If you''ve having a more exotic color then there may be a lot of variations in the shades too.

Stuart Weisman makes shoes from size 3 something to 12-15...there was an article on MSN just today that dealt with shoes for women of odd sizes. I don''t know if they''re available online, but he has 15 B&M stores that sell these sizes.

On another note, I also let my girls pick out their own shoes, all different. I had a neutral champagne color for my bridesmaid dresses too, and they came up with some very good choices. My MOH actually found some beautiful slides in the same shade with a gorgeous rhinestone buckle for $15 at an upscale department store in Indy...

What do you think about the "clear" plasticky shoes? I have been able to find a few pairs that dont look like stripper shoes...by that I mean less than a 3 inch heel. I found a pair for myself after our wedding at a SteinMart for $30...they have a band on the top of the foot, a 2.5 inch heel and big toe ring with a rhinestone detail. Something like that would definitely go with your BM''s dresses and they would be able to wear them again.

Hey there - have you looked at Brouse''s in Utica Square? I haven''t been there in a looooooong time, but I know they used to carry a wide range of widths. My mom used to always go there for her 6.5 narrow feet. I measure a 5.5C also, but generally just buy a size 6B because finding a 5.5 is sometimes hard enough, let alone a 5.5 wide!! The only time I really try to buy my true size is in athletic shoes and then I go to the New Balance store. Occasionally I do shop at Zappos.com & they have a good selection - and sometimes DSW has some wide widths, but I just went there yesterday & saw nothing in a size 6 or 5.5, not even in regular widths. Plus, their stock is so random... Also, just a thought, you might just go to Dillard''s and talk to someone who has worked in the ladies shoe dept. for a while - they will know which sizes run wide, narrow, true to size, etc. I used to work at the Promenade Dillards... but I can''t remember any of that stuff. For me, I tend to think that Nine West & Bandolino run wide but that may not be the case anymore - and they''re not really known for their "special occasion" shoes...

Monarch- I will see if I can locate Stuart Weisman online and see what they''ve got. Thanks. I am not a big fan of the clear shoes. I have seen several on-line while looking for Bridesmaids shoes, but even with the more normal heel, they are just not my thing.

Teebee- No I have not gone to Brouse''s, but I will definitely stop in there and see what they have got. A co-worker of mine told me she thought that NineWest came in wide, so I will definitely check out their line. I know anything NineWest they would be able to wear again. Thank for your suggestions.

On the plus side, I talked ot my sister last night and she said that she can fit into a 6 wide as long as it is not too strappy. I have found a couple of cute closed toe options that might work.

Thanks again girls for all of your help and suggestions.
