Hey everyone! You all were SO helpful a few months back when I was purchasing a new stone for my e-ring re-do. I now have an absolutely gorgeous 1.58 carat, E color, ideal hearts and arrows cut stone. I am now finally having a setting custom made. My inspo is Victor's Emilya (unfortunately I'm in Canada with my own stone so he is unable to make it himself.... but if I get something that's even close to as beautiful as his work I will be ecstatic!)

I am struggling with deciding on the size of melee for my halo. My jewelers initial CAD has 1.2mm melees in the halo and 1.4mm on the band (total band width 1.8mm)
So the halo would be on the smaller end of 1 pointers but I'm thinking I might want to go with half pointers instead?

I've spent hours scouring every post and photo comparisons I could find but there were not many for my size stone, mostly much larger and some smaller.

If anyone has photos of their round halo rings with these specs it would be so very much appreciated!! Thank you all so much in advance!

Thank you so much mwilliamanderson! I found one on the last link you sent that is my size! I think I'm going to switch over to the half pointers. They look amazing on the bigger stones as well which I've seen many, so surely won't feel too small for my stone. I love me a dainty halo :kiss2:

I really appreciate you taking the time to help me. This community is great. Thank you

You're welcome. I'm glad I was helpful! There's so much info here..the tricky part is finding it.

Most important thing is to use the right number of diamonds.
If you have a 4 prong ring then the number of diamonds should be divisable by 4.
So 12 (maybe 2.3mm each about 4-5 points ) 16 (maybe 1.7mm each about 2 points each) or 20 (maybe 1.3 mm each 0.01ct each)
6 prongs = 12 18 etc
This is so the main prongs can sit between two diamonds.
The more stones the smaller the stones will be.

Have you had your ring made yet? Please share pics! I'm in a very similar situation as yours!

Hey! So sorry for the late reply. Victor ended up making mine and it is getting shipped out today! I'm so excited, will post pics soon as it gets here! That being said, I'm not exactly sure what size melee he used. When Victor makes your ring, you just trust the master
