Slightly Disapointed...

OK so im REALLY disapointed lol... SO is away on buisness again. He left Monday and was suposed to come home late the night of the 5th (which is the day before my Bday) but NOW....He wont be home til the 9th

I know that he cant help it, and its not like Im pi$$ed about it. BUT I cant help but be dissapointed. Specially since last year things were hectic and we didnt do anything for my Bday, and he also missed our yr anniversary AND Vday both in the SAME month. Again...I KNOW its not his fault nor something that can be helped...and i KNOW he''d be here IF he could...just kinda sucks. ok...im done pouting now. Thanx for listening.

Yeah that sucks, but at least you know he''s not doing it to upset you or anything. You gotta do what you gotta do (as I type this, I am at Chicago O''Hare waiting for a flight home from a biz trip) and we all have to make a buck somehow.

I totally understand how you feel, but I''m on the side of the business traveler. I''m gone pretty much every week and there are so many events I have to miss with my FI. Just today I was asked to give up tomorrow and Labor Day to travel. It''s tough to be in a job where you don''t have any control over when you''re home and when you''re away.

Hang in there and he''ll be home soon!

I absolutely understand how you feel...my FI was away on business for both our last anniversary and my last birthday. I don''t begrudge him his job, because I know that business travel isn''t necessarily much fun, but it also really sucks to be the one left sitting at home, especially on sentimentally important days. I made sure to live it up with my friends, so I wouldn''t feel so lonely, and it did help some. But it was still no substitute for having my sweetie beside me!

I hear ya. I didn''t see SO on my actual birthday last year as we were doing the LDR thing and my birthday fell in the middle of the week. It''s a little lonely, but at least you have someone great who loves you, even if he can''t be there physically with you. And I am sure you guys will have a great makeup birthday after!
