Snail Gel Good?

I have quite a few scars on my face and body and I've been using Bio Oil for a while now. I do think that it's helping, but not as fast as I would like it to. I heard that snail gel is also great for these scars. Is this really true?

I have also heard a lot of great things about this, but I have to say, I find it a bit 'icky' especially when I think about putting that stuff on my face. But I guess ladies know that beauty is pain...
