Yesterday morning he woke me up at 6:45 am. I just figured he was thinking: "If I''m awake, she should be too!" Little did I know that he had been unable to go back to sleep since 4:30 because he was so nervous/excited about proposing. We cuddled for a while and then he told me he wanted to serve me breakfast in bed.
Mr. Wonderful: Would you like Fruit Loops in bed?
Sleepy Snicker: Yes!
Mr. Wonderful: Ok, I''ll fix you Fruit Loops.
Sleepy Snicker: Fruity Pebbles. We don''t have Fruit Loops, just Fruity Pebbles.
Mr. Wonderful: I''ll go to the store and get you Fruit Loops.
Sleepy Snicker: Fruity Pebbles are fine.
Mr. Wonderful: No, you want Fruit Loops, I''ll get you Fruit Loops.
I never buy Fruit Loops and I figured he must want Fruit Loops pretty badly, so I''ll let him get Fruit Loops. I go out to the living room, sit on the couch, and turn on the tv while he gets ready to go. He comes into the living room and announces he''s leaving to go to the store.
Mr. Wonderful: You want anything besides Fruit Loops?
Snicker in her PJs: No.
Mr. Wonderful: Want some juice?
Snicker in her PJs: Nope.
Mr. Wondrful: Just Fruit Loops?
Snicker in her PJs: Yep.
Mr. Wonderful: Ok, I''ll get you Fruit Loops, but I need you to promise me one thing (pulls ring box out of pocket and drops down to one knee), that you''ll spend the rest of your life with me.
Everything was a blur after that, but I do remember starting to cry, him telling me how much he loves me, me springing up from my seat on the couch to sitting the arm of the couch, him telling me that he needs to hear "yes" (I didn''t think I''d be one of those ladies that forgets to answer, but when the proposal happens, you seem to forget all the vocabulary you have ever known and have almost no control over your own motor skills!), and then him putting the ring on my finger. At that point he stood up and I stood on the couch just to hug him (jumping on the couch is something that is not usually done in our home).
His goal was to completely surprise me with the proposal even though I knew it would be coming within the next month. He suceeded. I never dreamed I would be proposed to in PJs, messy hair, and smeared eye makeup!

It is an estate diamond that our jeweler showed to us just for fun, but I fell in love with it, so he ended up picking that one. The setting is a 1940''s platinum band with 3 graduated stones on each side. I tried it on one time for giggles while I was in the store without him. It fit perfectly and I loved it, even though it wasn''t what I originally wanted. When he went in to pick the setting, the jeweler made it easy on him and told him which one I liked.
I absolutely love my ring!
And I absolutely love my fiance!
I''m having some issues with posting pics right now and I want to post the story before I somehow lose it and have to start over! I will post pics, I PROMISE!!!
