Snooping - oops!!!

Sooo...
I went snooping through SI's phone when he left it at home while he was at work and have found an email to a friend that says he went ring shopping and is about to propose!!

I'm scared and excited but also really nervous because now I know I'm worried I've ruined it!!
I'm sure it's still a while off (we've just bought a unit together and are still working out finances) but it could be any day now.. or it could be in a few months time.

Now to find a million ways to keep myself busy! I have an action plan:
1. Alot of gymming. Heaps and gymming. Every night without fail.
2. Health kick ; diet review. I need to lose 10kgs, and what better motivation!
3. House stuff and cleaning and moving

Its just all happening at once!! SO EXCITED!!!

I can't answer for the op,but in my case I'm always on my husband phone simply 'cause has nothing to hide.I'm the one who answer his work calls on his phone (he hates to talk on the phone,so I do it),and reply to his text while he sleep (he work nights,so he his sleeping when people text him).Also,there are far bettere games on his phone than on mine anyway,I really don't see the big deal in going through your so phone,unless you costantly do it in fear of cheating (in this case get teraphy) or they specifically told you not to.And in that case,I would wonder why.

If you were going through his phone to read texts/emails and see phones calls to check up on him and make sure he isnt cheating, then you shouldnt get married if you dont trust him.

But if you were looking through it to see if he has been doing any ring research or talk...shame on you for snooping....but definitely isnt something LIW's havent done before

ditto. tread lightly on the snooping. Years and years ago, when I was dating my FI and we were young (highschool) I at times snooped. And it really is no good for a relationship. If there were pending ring gitters and you could not wait to find out, we ladies here get that, but if it's a usual thing ..STOP and trust... good things will come of it

Ohhh my goodness no no.. I was absolutely not looking for signs of cheating - he's a wonderful beautiful honest man with nothing to hide.

I actually never ever go through his phone just because things can be misconstrued and taken the wrong way and cause tension where it need not be but Ladies I just HAD TO KNOW!!

He's been talking of rings non stop and when we bought the house I asked when we would start renovating and he said '-after the wedding' which has had me all suspicious for days. I mean.. Whose wedding? My friends wedding? My cousins wedding? Is someone getting married that I don't know about????

I've totally ruined my own surprise here but it was what I was looking for and I'm SO EXCITED!!! He knows I'm a snoop; I find EVERYTHING. Xmas presents, birthday presents.. I always find out. Very naughty of me.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Now I have to go for a run. 10kgs; you're going down!!

Hehe I completely understand. I've found some lost treasures when snooping around the apartment for presents before Christmas!

It's terrible I know... but I'm just not good at waiting for anything.

I have turned the house upside down and there is no ring in sight, so guessing its still being made? A friend told me it takes up to 6 weeks for a diamond to be set. This is KILLING me!!!

I can tell it's affecting me, everytime he brings up engagement or diamond talk I go feral trying to change the subject, simply because I don't want him to know I know.. which really is most likely making it more obvious that something is going on.

Hopefully all is on track for May which is when we finalise all of the house stuff and I'm really hoping it happens then. If not.. well.. Shame on me for sneaking into his phone and I'll just have to forget all about it till it happens. We do have an anniversary coming up...
