Is anyone else''s FF like this?

J won''t tell me ANYTHING about engagement, a time period we might get married, the ring, the price........nothing! He won''t give me any clues whatsoever. Even something that he thinks I could remotely turn into a hint, he avoids just in case. He very rarely brings up the topic of engagement or marriage just because he doesn''t want to give anything away. When I ask he says that of course he''s thinking about it, and has been saving up for the last year and a half or so. He''s definitely one of those that likes to do a lot of research before he makes any purchases (even small ones), so I know it''ll be good, but its just so frustrating sometimes not knowing anything!

I know he plans to talk to my dad, or maybe he already has....who knows!!! I''m so terrible...I''ve been trying to watch my dad to see if he acts any different

Oooh, my FF is the opposite, he loves to talk about it, but that has to be so frustrating!! I do think it''s cute, however, that he won''t tell you anything, because then you know it''ll be a COMPLETE surprise! Aw, cute men-- at least you know that he''s planning on it!

Yes, DBF is supposedly planning away for a proposal in October or November. All I know is that the question will be popped somewhere around that time. I am pretty sure I know what the ring will look like, since he has asked for the type of ring I would like. Other than that, I am to know nothing about the proposal plans.

We do, however, talk about the future wedding, our plans for Europe, how we''re going to set up checking/savings, changing my name and all of the "newlywed" stuff that we''ll be doing. It''s just the proposal that is being kept under wraps.

That''s very cool, that time of year will come before you know it! Then you''ll be waking up every day wondering if its THE DAY!

I wish I even knew that much. I haven''t the slightest clue as to what month, or even what season it will be in. I''ve had so many guesses as to when he could do it, and sadly they''ve all passed by except one. Now I''m left with one last hope for him doing it on a day thats special to us. Otherwise,...I''m at a complete loss and he''ll probably do it some random day.

YES!!! I know NADA!! and anytime I bring it up he says something silly like "what are are you talking about?" and " I''m just gonna sprinkle glitter on your claddagh ring." I know he''s kidding but sometimes I wonder, what is he thinking, and WHEN is it gonna happen!?!

Yep yep, I hear ya. I have a promise ring also, and anytime I mention something about a ring, he says "you already have a ring on that finger...." Argh, so frustrating. But at the same time, he gets very defensive when people think my promise ring is an engagement ring and says "of course its not an engagement ring! It''s not near good enough to be an engagement ring!!"

i know what you mean. all the visits we''re had since he tried to be sneaky about finding my ring size have come and gone, so i now know almost exactly when. although i was more hoping to let him have his surprise, but schedules didn''t end up working that way ah well. now i just get to be extra freaked out
