For sale is a 1.42ct, 6.42mm, cushion cut, untreated sapphire from Umba, Tanzania set in a 14kt yellow gold Stuller 4-prong setting. The ring is a size 8.25 and can easily be resized by a jeweler. I purchased the sapphire from Weblorn on eBay. The original description mentioned that it was cut in the USA. It has a very pretty medium-blue color, that shifts -slightly- violet in incandescent lighting. I have photos from when it was unset. I had it set by Poppyseed/Amcor Design. Originally, I was planning for this to be a temp setting, then to reset it into either a 3 stone with trillion diamond sides, or a halo at some point.
The cut of the stone is beautiful, and reminds me vaguely of an antique cushion cut shape, and is eye clean. I tried taking photos of the stone in various lighting to show how it looks.
