Due to some unexpected veterinary expenses, I must sell this beauty.
I spent a few months this year searching for JUST the right stone for this project. I wanted a stone that looked as enchanting as the Caribbean - both blue and green. The stone has a paraiba color quality, I can not say that it is copper bearing because I did not have it tested (didn't matter - I just loved the color).
I have a lot invested in this ring since it was a ring I intended to keep for many years.
The blue-green tourmaline is 2.36 carats and is a modified Portuguese cut. It measures 10.2mm x 7.7mm (a gorgeous size).
Its origin is Mozambique and has NO treatments - all natural color here.
No eye visible inclusions - it was sold to me as VVS/VS clarity. I purchased this stone from Gemfix - the stone was cut by Andrew Gulji.
The setting is a custom setting for this stone done by Quest Jewelers. It is 14k white gold with 18k yellow gold prongs and the basket is 24k gold plated (to enhance the blue/green color). Size 8.75.
There are 14 2.2mm G color / VS clarity diamonds (approx .5ct tdw).
