This is such a GORGEOUS ring!! If I wasn't secure in my status of size ho, I would have already snapped it up. I'm sure it will sell very quickly. :))

Wow, that is gorgeous and very unique (and your photos are excellent!).

Re: 5.23mm(~.58ct) OEC, victorian setting w/16 rose cut diam

Omg.... Mico! I so want this! Can it be sized all the way to a 9.5 tho?

Re: 5.23mm(~.58ct) OEC, victorian setting w/16 rose cut diam

This is also one of my favorites! Totally not in the market to buy, though I'm sure it would fit my right hand perfectly . . . :(sad

Do I want this ring instead of my starter diamond? I remember when you first posted this ring in SMTB...I was in love!

I sent you a message. Hope it went through.

Hi All!!!
I'm so sorry to delay with responding to everyone. I will respond here and try to reply to all of you ASAP!

- A couple people have asked if the diamond was chipped. I will take the ring with me to work tomorrow and attempt to loupe for any chips. There's a big magnified image on the SMTB thread otherwise) -- but I will admit I am not the most savvy PSer and will describe what I see which may see less than a more trained eye.

- From what I understand, shipping overseas is a big risk. I only priced the item shipping in the US. I know a few of you are from canada, and if you would like to take responsibility for shipping and finding out how that works that may work out. At this point I think shipping within the US would be the easiest for me (my line of work doesn't give me the best hours for getting to the post office.) I'll keep that option open though

- Sizing, a few have asked. I don't think there will be an issue sizing, but I'm not a jeweler. If you look at the side photos, the rig is sitting on top of the thin (yet high) band, which has no pave on it. I would check this out more so but I don't think it will be a problem.

I promise to write you all back, first come first serve is usually what I think is fair. Thanks everyone for your interest! It's bittersweet ;))

Also, some advice from my other thread:

"Saw it listed on LT- such a pretty ring! Good luck with it. And just a thought for whomever may purchase it, try not cleaning the rosecuts too much (at least not too thoroughly). I think with RC you have to not think of them the same way you do a diamond with a pavilion. They used to blacken the backsides of the antique ones (or foil them) and so I think they act more like a mirror that way (just MHO though). Cleaning them too much actually doesn't seem to help them (also my opinion) because they just don't look right when you do."

Whew, I think I wrote everyone back, please let me know if I didn't respond to your emails! :wavey:

No, I had first dibs but I let it go. I really want my 5-stone... But it was a very hard decision. One that I already regret!

But Mico is like seriously the coolest, nicest person ever! It was good to "meet" you and talk to you Mico!

I bought it. I have been debating whether to get a halo ring or an antique diamond, and this ring will be perfect; I can have both. Mico is delightful. :appl:

Congrats!!! IMHO nothing beats an antique (OEC, Transition, or Mine Cut) diamond. I also like the setting- it makes a beautiful statement.
