ruby, I would really advise you to post pictures here but absolutely on your ebay page. I don't even give a second look at listings on ebay with no pictures. And for PS readers here, who made the band? Do you have cut information on the diamonds? I think people here will expect that kind of info. I am just trying to help you sell it! :))

I do not know how. I have some great pictures that the original owner sent to my email. But I have no clue how to post them either here or ebay. HELP!!!!!!

I purchased this from someone else. He told me that he had it custom made for his wife to match her engagement ring. I do not know who made it though.

Okay, I understand. But in that case I would recommend getting an independent appraisal from one of the PS appraisers because it would be pretty impossible to bid on a diamond ring with no verification of color, clarity, and cut on the diamonds.

I have been getting some questions about an appraisal.

I would be more than willing to send the diamond band to a 3rd party Pricescope appraiser for an independent appraisal. You would just have to guide me on the procedure to do so.

There is a list of PS appraisers under resources. Check and see if one is local. If none are, I'd look up an independent appraiser in your area, one that doesnt buy or sell jewelry and have it appraised. Then you will know wht you have and how to price it.

I have not had it appraised. But if anyone is interested, I would be more than willing to send it to a 3rd party Pricescope appraiser which could act as an intermediary. I will do all I can to make the buyer comfortable in this transaction.

Ruby, I was initially very interested, but concerned about cut and the I clarity - so I held off on emailing you. Just wanted to let you know :)

I was also interested on that other diamond of yours you ended up selling to a dealing for an AMAZING deal and would have easily paid that much. I guess I just lurke too much and don't speak up about my doubts :).

!!! My mistake! I think I may have been looking at yours and another on the bistro and mixed them up! apologies

Any ideas on the cut? You mentioned you could see arrows the other diamond you sold, can you see them on this ring?

After getting this question, I took the diamond band out and walked around my home with it.

I took it into the bathroom, it had wonderful white light and colored light.

I took it to both my front and back doors, west and east exposures. I could see sparkle on the walls and door. And it exhibited beautiful fire like I have seen in some of the pictures listed on Pricescope. I walked around my home with it. Absolutely no cloudyness or dead spots. The diamonds are very bright.

As far as the cut, and someone asked about arrows. From my limited knowledge and what I have learned on here, imo, this is a well cut diamond. If I hold it at certain angles, I see what I believe are referred to as arrows, at certain times. Are they hearts and arrow diamonds - probably not.

Are they well cut, imo, yes. They are very white and bright. And they do not show any yellow color at all. My eyesight is average - 20/20 upclose. I cannot see anything with the naked eye, both top and bottom.

However, do know it is preloved. There is scuffing at the bottom from wear and rubbing against the engagement ring. Absolutely no damage to the diamonds - top or bottom and from what I can see from the sides that is not covered by the setting.

Like I have said previously, I would be willing to go through a Pricescope 3rd party appraiser.

It would definitely be to your advantage to get an appraisal done on this ring before trying to sell it. Amazon.com has a 5 stone 1.40 ctw for $1399 on their site right now. Without verification of the quality, its going to be hard to get someone to pay what you are asking at the moment.

Closest I could find to what you are referring to is a 1 carat 5 diamond ring for $1,399. They are listed as SI, which probably means SI2 or even SI3.

I have been posting here a long time. And I am very conservative in my estimates. Mine was listed as VS1 by the original owner who custom made it to match his wife's engagement ring, which was GIA VS1. To be extremely conservative I put VS1 - 2. While I am not an expert on cut, I can say with much certainty that my diamonds are much higher clarity than the one you are referring to on Amazon.

I agree! I personally wouldn't feel comfortable spending that kind of money without some type of professional evaluation. You might even find it's worth more than you are asking! A simple appraisal isn't that expensive and well worth the money IMO. Lots of long time pricescopers sell here but will back up their goods with vendor documentation, no matter how trustworthy or good their eye may be :))

ruby, would you mind posting the measurements of the ring at the top - i.e. its height (from where the ring hits the finger to where it would sit under an E-ring).

If I am misunderstanding the question, please repost.

When I put the band on my finger, and measure from the bottom of the setting to the top of the diamond, it is 3 millimeters high.
