SOLD * loose South Sea & Tahitian pearls, anyone? *

Over the last couple years I have collected over a dozen loose South Sea pearls ranging in size from 9.6mm to 11.4mm, of varying colors, most purchased from eBay vendor Agustus Collection, plus a gorgeous SS White (Lombok) pair, Tahitian pair, and Tahitian 5-pearl set from eBay vendor Druzy Design. These pearls are gorgeous, with smooth surfaces, thick nacre, minor to zero blemishes, and lovely overtones of varying colors.

I will tell you that I collected all these pearls thinking I would augment my Tahitian strand, both making it longer and turning it into a mixed South Seas/Tahitian necklace - and using the rest for mixed drop earrings and a bracelet to match - but since I only wear my single pearl pendants, I already listed the Tahitian necklace and finally got around to listing all these loose pearls.

Drooling here. Do you think if one were to combine all of these pearls into one necklace it would work, or would it be a bit "off" looking since some are drop, some seem perfectly round, some are larger, some are pairs, etc....?

I'd love your thoughts on this.

Okay, this works against me, but honestly if I consider only these pearls, I do not see a necklace - the colors and the shapes do not quite work together; you are right, it would be a bit off.

But with these pearls I *have* lined up a beautiful bracelet and drop earrings as one option, and as another option a great pair of mixed pearl bracelets.

As a quick update, I've received a number of requests to break up the collection and sell some of the items separately - but as this is a brand-new listing I'd like to give it a chance to sell as a single lot. IMHO this is really well-priced for the quality and quantity of these SS pearls. And frankly I'd rather sell these in a single transaction, as breaking up the collection would be a lot of work of new listings, new photographs, additional shipping costs, etc. I'm really hoping a PSer will buy this collection and the Tahitian necklace, and post the pics of their new creations!

Marymm, I too believe this is a great deal as is, and would urge you not to break up the set. Your price is excellent given the quality and size of the pearls you are offering. Good luck to you in this sale - I'm sure they will not last long.
