Thanks Niel, I know, right? In case there's a PSer out there put off by the no returns on the DB listing, I'll extend a 3-day inspection period during which you can return it and only be responsible for shipping both ways.

Huldak: I don't know how soon you have to sell it, but that is a beautiful setting made by a highly respected maker and if you have time, I would urge you to hold firm on the price! It is so lovely. Its 18k and its Van Craynest! Its probably a simple matter of not enough eyes seeing the listing. Since you are offering a return, if you have no luck here, there is a FB group you might want to try where I bet it would go quickly. I tend not to list my stuff there just because I like it to stay "in the family," but just letting you know its an option.

Seriously, your price on this is great! I was tempted but I have the same mounting in yellow gold, with a tourmaline in it. I think you might get twice what you are asking if you listed it on eBay. Within the smaller groups I think there has a been a cooling on VC because of the new owner and issues at the new factory (the new owner is why DH will not let me buy a VC piece either from that store or another dealer, if he still has any). From what I understand they are no longer offering any refurbishment, but your ring looks like it is in great condition.

I saw the listing before this thread and it again really tempted me, but I decided to hold out for the platinum in large. Lucky for the buyer!

(To IE princess, the set was listed on ebay several times before Huldak bought it through another kind of listing. I watched as the price went down. If it had been any other VC set, I would have bought it from ebay.)
