Next up is a vintage 9ct yellow gold opal ring with a beautiful, swirling swoopy design on the sides. The oval shaped opal measures approximately 10 x 8 mm. It is very pretty and has blue, purple, pink, orange, green and yellow flashes. The opal is set in a filigree basket setting with 8 prongs. The sides have a lovely swirling swoopy design that reminds me of the gorgeous rings done by McTeigue & McClelland (this is NOT one of their rings though). It is currently a size 7 3/4 but can easily be re-sized by your local jeweler. The inside of the band is stamped "SJ" and "375" for 9ct gold.
