Genuine Art Deco 1.00 carat Double Row French Cut Band, Row or Line ring. Very pretty piece out of my personal collection, selling to fund a new project.
Stones were examined by Dave Atlas and they were graded a G, H and I colour (they are old they vary) they are all very white facing, and he gave the stones a VS2 clarity on average, note we are trying to describe the ring as accurately as possible so most are VS1 (they would have started life all as VS1 to VS2s) but some are currently SI2 to I1 due to minor abrasion which are tiny nicks and flea bites to the corners and edges of some of the stones. We are talking minor here I have worn this ring and you cannot see any glaring damage without a loupe. I have never felt they needed taking out of the ring and re-polishing they are still quite beautiful. The type of abrasion/minor damage is VERY consistent with wear and tear of this type of cut of stone that are genuine old Antique French Cuts .
It gives great presence on the hand due to a double (as opposed to a single) row. So instead of going all the way around when worn you basically see two rows across the top of your finger pretty well like you are wearing two French Cut bands.
The sleek metal edge gives it a distinct Art Deco look. Please note that I had JBEG rebuild the top part of the ring because the metal was damaged and worn down from age, and the whole ring has been re-polished - so basically you are getting genuine Vintage Antique French Cut diamonds in a genuine Art Deco ring with metalwork (the ring part) that now looks brand new!!!
Ring is a small size 5, but could be sized up or down due to the style unlike a band - please ask the JBEG girls regarding resizing.
It has just appeared in the JBEG sneak peak for $1995.00 and is available to any P/S member for that price, for anyone interested please contact Erica or Grace, I believe compared to most French Cut Rings it is already a fair price and am in no great rush to sell it. There are a stack more pics and a video of the ring available via JBEG;
