Well, I struck out again on finding just the right band to wear with my new OEC mounting. The difference in the way the melee is set is bugging me, so I'm going to try to sell and start over. I did find a pretty little engraved vintage platinum band which works nicely for now, but I'm still on the lookout for just the right diamond band. Hopefully this will be just the right band for someone else. Here is the description:
Up for sale is a beautiful vintage platinum and single cut diamond eternity ring. The diamonds have a lovely bit of chunkiness to them -- you can see their elevated crowns in the profile of the band! There are two small areas that do not have diamonds and instead have engraving -- you can see this in one of the pictures posted here. The engraving is a flower or star pattern and blends in very nicely with the rest of the ring. I assume these areas are a result of the ring having been previously sized. I do not know the color or clarity, but they appear to me to be very white and bright (I would guess in the near colorless range). There is one diamond that is chipped -- to the naked eye, it simply looks a bit included. Total carat weight is around 50 points. The ring is about 2.3mm wide and 1.2mm tall. It is a size 6.25. It is very delicate and pretty in person, and priced well. Just wanted to throw that out there for anyone thinking of buying it!
