I had hoped to use this lovely little vintage setting for my 2.8ct OEC -- it was just a smidge too small, but it inspired the replica setting you've all seen on SMTB.

14K rose gold, ring size 5.5 and easily sizable. Will hold an 8.5mm stone.

Do you think it would work with a slightly smaller stone? 8.1mm? (I know you're not a jeweler, just wondered if you had gotten any opinions on it from Adam at OWD when you were originally considering resetting your diamond in it!)
