Soldering spacer band to engagement ring

Hello, and thank you for reading my post. I have a very thin spacer band between my engagement ring and my gemstone eternity band. I was loathe to get a spacer band, but the good folks at Pricescope showed me why it would be a good idea, and it has been so far. However, I guess just from moving my hands constantly, there is frequently a gap between the spacer band and my engagement ring, and I was thinking about soldering the spacer band to the engagement ring. I am assuming that would eliminate the gap between the spacer band and the engagement ring. Has anybody soldered their spacer band to their engagement ring? If so, did it work out? And if there’s a reason it would not be a good idea, please let me know. Thank you again.
