Is she totally over the moon with this ring? It looks so great on her hand!

Oops sorry that last one was a repost....hope you all like the pics! We are both so in love with the ring...we picked out the stone and designed the setting together so I can''t take all the credit...

Over the moon AND the stars :-)

JG, let me just say how awesome you are for coming back and posting more pics!!! The ring is beautiful and us PSers love tons of pics! Did you do flower shots yet?

we are snow bunnies and can take all you want to throw at us!! Your ring is just divine!!

May I ask you to share your design features? And how they were interpreted in the end result? I do have a motive, as this is very close to the design I want. I love how yours has what I call the martini glass look. Right angles and a v shaped head.

If you are willing will you share your thoughts on how you arrived at the lovely ring?

Thanks,

DKS

Thanks for the extra pics. It''s a stunning ring, and looks gorgeous on her hand. Just yummy!!

Wow thank you all for the great comments! I like that term "martini glass" setting...very shiek sounding.

GREAT shots of a GREAT ring. Thank you for sharing with us!

I keep coming back to your threads, her ring is absolutely stunning! I love the thin band, the big rock, and the very classic and simple setting. What a beautiful ring!!! She must be thrilled.

I know you all would like some more shots - and I want to take the best kind! Any suggestions? In the sun and "flower shots" seem to be popular :-)

We have one in a pile of jellybeans...it was a great one. Just get creative. Coffee grounds? Anything is fine, just get us closeups and details...and remember you are feeding hungry wolves...the only way to satisfy us is photos.

I realize you had this ring custom designed...did you use a PS vendor? Are there any pieced of advice you would offer knowing what you learned in the process?

Windowsill shots are always nice. And as close as you can get while staying in focus.

As DKS said, just use your imagination! Anywhere where there is nice, fairly bright diffused sunlight is where a diamond can really show how beautiful it is, then just pick your prop, they''re are many. I''m the one who did the jelly beans, I''ve also used tinsel, stringed beads, a decorative plate, a china doll, crystal dish, whatever you can find...And the more colorful the prop, the more colorful your diamond will turn out, that''s why flowers are great. Also, I''ve gotten some really pretty ones just in the box, sitting on the gound at sunset, when the light is rather soft.

Can''t wait to see more!

p.s. Just be sure, if you are setting the ring on a precarious prop, that you put a large towel down underneath in case it falls.

THANK YOU for posting more pics! The ring is STUNNING - you did a great job!

I personally would love to see some close-ups of the shank, as well as the basket from underneath. I am fascinated by this type of ring because they are so delicate, yet substantial looking - and I am curious about the construction details.

I think you mentioned it on your other thread, but where did the setting come from again? They deserve props for this one for sure!
