Wearing sapphires and garnets today--clearly somebody needs to give me some rubies! I'll settle for red spinels, if that's all you've got.

The orangy-red garnet ring with the rose-cut diamonds is late 19th c, as is the greenish blue cabochon sapphire ring with the rose-cut diamond halo. The darker red garnet is an Arizona anthill garnet, supposedly mined by ants!

I don’t have red or blue color gems (only emeralds, but I was so inspired by @cushioncutnut’s nails, I did do my nails red and blue to highlight my “white” set. Happy 4th everyone!
