This stone is incredibly hard to photograph--I think it''s due to the faceted table, but I really have no idea. it does not exhibit this much extinction in real life, and is very bright and sparkly.
.97ct peachy spinel
6mm
bought from my local gem shop...and it has been set...

Freke,
You didn't use flash on your camera, right? There's too much reflection of light that the camera doesn't seem to know where to focus on. That's a really cool cut where the entire table is faceted up to a point, much like a rose cut.

Now for the (not blurry) pictures of the stone in the wax...

Chrono, no, I believe it''s just due to my "shaking". Believe it or not, those are the least blurry pics I got.

My heart melted at the sight of the wax; it is so feminine. The whole ring is going to look gorgeous!

Lol! I hope you like the finished product. From Patrick Irla, on Etsy. Should be here 3-5 days!

14kt rose gold (my first rose gold!) hydrangeas and head. The shank is sterling silver.

All I'm going to say is: finger real estate up the ying yang!

I think the hydrangeas are 6mmish each, the stone is 6mm, and my size 6ish finger is 18mm across.

ETA: last pic--sorry it's so big!

I have to say I''m impressed with the level of detail seen in the hydrangeas in the close up pictures.

That''s so pretty Freke! He does beautiful work!

Amazing! Goes to show how a good design goes a long way.

Enjoy it!

Very pretty. I can''t wait to see hand shots.

Very pretty ring. The hydrangeas are lovely, and set off your pretty stone nicely.

Freke, its great! Its so original and the leaves are fab! I also love that the prongs match them!

THAT IS SO BEAUTIFUL, Freke! Crazily enough that''s the exact same combo I was thinking of for my "left over" 4.35mm .31 OEC -- only I''d bezel that in the center, rather than prong set it. BTW -- Are those the teeny tiny hydrangeas or the "regular" size? SOOO PRETTY!!!!!! Loved his version with the pink sapphire, which is what made me think of my own project ... but yours is EVEN BETTER!

CANNOT WAIT to see the hand shots.

FrekeC, that''s so beautiful, you make me one want now!

I love this ring Freke, Patrick does amazing work!!!
