Finally taking the plunge to post about my search! I am planning on a pink spinel or sapphire. The color should be pink to reddish pink. A purplish modifier is ok but orange modifier is less desirable.

I like the top and bottom stones from @elle_71125 IG: https://www.instagram.com/p/B26TbAol2Af/
The middle stone is almost the same color as the top, but it somehow reads more red/orange than I'm looking for.

Please post suggestions!

For spinel, TGT may have more material like this in a larger size:

Also sold, more reddish (too red?), but again maybe they could source something similar:

Purplish pink sapphire, slightly included which would put me off. This vendor has some really nice hot pinks every now and then, but they sell extremely quickly. Maybe worth keeping an eye out.

Spinel, 400$ over budget and maybe too light

Never used this seller but they sell ready-made rings. Quite a few pink sapphire pieces. All or most with GIA. If you're open to a ready made ring, worth checking if they have anything interesting and in-budget.

Expensive vendor so I can't recommend anything really, but nice eye candy:

I would reach out to Jeff White, he will work to find the color you are looking for and his work is awesome

Do you have a specific shape you are set on? Size?

I’m kind of honored that you used my spinels as a guide. What can I tell you about them? I think the best things to note are as follows:
- The top spinel is definitely a reddish pink, with a tiny hint of purple. I can’t see purple but it reads as cooler than the middle ring.
- The middle mahenge is called cherry bomb…because it’s packed with color. It’s definitely a bright cherry red pink. No purple whatsoever.
- The bottom mahenge is bubblegum pink (not an easy find and not the traditional “mahenge” color that people think of.

Closer to the middle gem, I think, but with more peach.

Just remember to check the mm measurements.
Sapphires are quite a dense gemstone so for carat weight they look smaller than most other gemstones.
Spinels are stunning but their cut is very important. They have a tendency to “black out” when the light source isn’t hitting on facets.

You have excellent taste, we all love @elle_71125 's collection :kiss2:

Approx what size stone are you hoping for? Since you didn't mention it, I assume you are flexible on shape?

No skinny ovals, but I'm open to other shapes. I'm prioritizing color and size, the bigger the better but at least a 5mm average

Sorry, just saw OPs most recent post. I like the hot pink sapphire a lot

If you want a larger stone than your budget allows, you could get a lab created sapphire or spinel cut for you. If you don't know, they also have the same molecular structure as their mined counterparts.

I bought my spinel from Yavorskyy, I think his pricing is OK, actually, and they will negotiate (I got 10% off the list price). He has a few in budget, for example,

Another vote for the hot pink cushion.

Another vote for the hot pink cushion from Gary as in Finewater Gems!

DK :kiss2:

Same here for the cushion. Also, Gary is great to work with.

Of the two, I prefer the GemFix oval.

FWIW the photo of the Finewater cushion does show a lot of pink in Gary's hand which is likely heightening the color stone ... while I think Gary is talented and reputable, in my own experience often his photos display gemstone color that IRL I do not see. He has a solid return policy however so if you prefer the Finewater spinel color/shape, I do encourage you to check it out.

Cant believe I didn't think of him before! Yes, another excellent option

I like this thread OP:) there’s already lots of suggestions! A hot red pink stone is also on my wish list~

Please do let us know how you progress!

The hot pink finewater one sold - did OP buy it? @JulieN
Hopefully it wasn't taken by a lurker before you made up your mind.

Random seller I found via IG, so take with a grain of salt. Maybe they could negotiate on price since its 2.5k. Would need to confirm if there is an orangey modifier. Very pretty.
