Something sparkly came in the mail today...:)

Well, it''s NOT an engagement ring (yet!!), but part 2 of the ER came today! The matching eternity bands (we bought both now so the wedding band would be an exact match)just arrived. I feel like I''ve been waiting an eternity for these!! haha (pun intended -- everybody groan

)

I put the pear with them and it looks so big to me (the stones on the bands are 1 1/2 points so they are teeny tiny just like I wanted) and I am just SO excited right now!

"Part 3" will be sending these all off to get the halo mounting and stone set (by Mark T at ERD)--- then it all comes together and the REAL wait begins! M definitely told me he want to wait for the ring to propose now, so the sooner I get it back the better

Amber -- I got them from Mavilo in Tampa, FL. Their prices are great, their online pics don''t do them justice, but be prepared to wait -- they are busy!!

Sorry Moon and Diamonds! In my excitement I didn''t think about the rest of the pieces! First of all, we decided on the smaller of the 2 pears. Most everyone agreed it was livlier -- and M and I both liked it better.

As far as the bands go -- I was vague. One will become the Ering, and the other is the wedding band. Mark T is doing a custom halo head for it (he''s who I got the diamond from) and we were just waiting for the bands to arrive so I can send them off to him.

I am just WAY too excited for my own good now -- I was totally just balancing the pear on the band to "get an idea'' of how it''ll look

They''re 18 k white gold. Honestly, we are a bit over what we planned to spend in the beginning, and I am perfectly happy with WG. I actually like the shiny quality.

Wow, you truly have a floating diamond band! Beautiful! Just one question, how is the head going to mount on a full eternity band?????

The bands look great! I may have missed something, but one band is going to be made into the e-ring with halo? Can that be done without compromising the integrity of the ring?

I was curious about that too -- found out firsthand from a jeweler that it would be easier to do that than remove prongs frm a semi-mount and build and new head. We''ll see. The band that will become the e-ring is too small (size), so Mark said he will split in between 2 of the diamonds and build the head (he may have to remove one -- not sure). Anyway, it sounds do-able and I hope I don''t regret it. Trust me, this was the cheaper route to take than custom (I got these bands at a great price). It''s already going to be so much more diamond than I ever imagined I would have, that if the setting does not turn out perfectly, well, I will just have to deal. (so again, cross fingers!!!!)

How did you balance the pear on the band? Or did you photoshop it?

I totally balanced it. I was just having fun playing with them and got it to balance slightly on its side (look closely, it''s tilted). I am obsessed.

Looking good - love the shot with the pear balanced on the ring! If it ends up working out it will have been a great idea to use premade bands. Shoulda thought of that myself.

It wasn''t cheap to go the custom route but Diamondlil and I were at the very beginning of the halo thing so options (and photos!) were limited at the time. Can''t wait to see the finished product, as well as hear about how it was made!!!
