an update for those who were following the previous thread: FF did AWESOME on his interview and they sent him his application to fill out as well as a background check. He was told to put in the application the salary that he felt he deserved, then a formal offer would be made once the background went through. That was nerve racking! First we were given the advice to go high as they would want to meet in the middle. Then we were told we were going TOO high... AHHH! Hopefully we will find out the salary and he will get the formal offer by next Monday! YEA!
So he went out of town to NY today on business and he called me once he landed. We have discussed the fact that we will be in a LDR until September so that I can properly apply for a transfer in my job (and cross my figures that I get it). When he left for this (very short) trip I got so sad. It was hard thinking that this was (possibly) the start of things to come. It's not that big of a deal as it is only 4 months... but I'll miss him! I told him over the phone that I already missed my partner-in-crime and it was going to suck when/if we are apart for four months. (And this is what made me smile) He said "well at least you are going to get a really nice gift when you move up!" My heart started to race and it really set home the opportunities that he will have in this job. I'm so excited for him and us. And I can't BELIEVE that our lives, after so much waiting, are really beginning. Everything is just coming together and I'm so excited.
Last week when we were traveling up north he looked at me and said "I am so excited for this... we are starting our lives together!" I just laughed at him and told him thats the same way I felt when we moved 1.5 years ago!
It's great. I'm just trying to take it one day at a time. I'm crazy nervous and excited so we will see what happens!
