So I''ve been frantically packing for our move tomorrow, which means I haven''t gotten to the jeweler yet, which means I''m no closer to getting my new pet rock set and wearable. Sigh.
In the meantime, I wasted some precious packing time taking pictures of the citrine lariat I got at a shop (sadly, now closed) that had all sorts of cool estate jewelry. I needed something orangey to match a dress, and just happened to wander in there. I couldn''t afford most of what she had, but there were two really unique lariats -- one citrine, one amethyst (or at least that''s what she said they were). I wish I''d gotten both, even if there''s some chance they might really be just glass. The chain links are really unique. The problem is that the stones knock against each other, which has caused some chips.

Anyway, here are some pictures....

neck shot...you can sortof see that instead of one end going through something on the other end, it just flips over the chain. when it''s not on, its just one long chain with a briolette at each end.

That''s really cool! Thanks for sharing it with us.

I love the way the light shines through and makes the stones just *glow*. So pretty!

Thanks!! I think my photography is improving somewhat. That was with just a tiny bit of sun struggling through the nasty overcast we''ve got here today.

That is a really cool necklace! I love how one end just flips over the other. Great find!!!

I like the look of that lariat it is very pretty. I wonder if there is a way you could tie the top one higher to the other side of the chain to stop them knocking and damaging each other.

Thanks, all. I thought you might enjoy seeing something a bit different, even if its not so fancy.

Pyramid -- I do try to keep one stone above the other, but they have a tendency to slide a bit anyway, even if I loop it over twice. I can''t figure out how to get it to stay without adding some sort of clip-type thing, which would ruin the look of the chain.
I guess since its not an everyday piece it will survive, but it''s sad to see them chipped, especially since the cutting seems pretty decent -- very frustrating when the nice tidy meet points get scuffed up.

oooh, I love this!!! I would totally wear something like this, what a beautiful necklace!
