Sooner rather than later

My bf and I first looked at rings about a year ago knowing that it was going to probably be another year or so until we got engaged. Within the last month we have really started the process. I found a Kirt Kara ring yesterday that we both just loved. I think a .75 to 1 ct diamond looked best in the setting and on my finger. They placed a .75 in the prongs and it looked beautiful. Since things were started to move fast and I could see the potential that he would buy this ring and diamond I decided to look closer. Wouldnt you know I saw an inclusion with my naked eye. I think it was a vs1 g. Once I saw it I could not ignore it! He could not see it until I took a pen and pointed right at it. Without thinking I was like "now that I see it I will never be able to not see it." soo it looks like picking out the right diamond might be more complicated than I aniticipated. As we talked it over later he mentioned this might push his time line back and bit and mentioned he had been considering Valentines Day! So I am slightly bummed that may not be the case I BUT I AM WAY EXCITED that it is soon!

Yay! That''s very exciting.

I definitely know the feeling about having your standards interfere with a quick engagement! I think my bf had no idea how long it might take to get a ring made! The jeweler told us he could make the ring in 4-6 weeks start to finish - I was pleasantly surprised, but bf said I''d spoiled his timing - he wanted to propose on Valentine''s, because it was the one day I''d never expect.

I console myself that it''s worth waiting a little longer for a proposal to get a ring I''ll be really happy with... but darn it!

At least you know that he''s ready, and once that perfect ring is in his hot little hands, he won''t hold on to it long!!!
