It was early to mid-December when my FI and I went into a local jeweler to start on a custom ring. We told them they can take their time due to the holiday season cause they said they could rush it, but it would cost twice as much...
So after the new year, we went in to see my wax, it wasn't quite right so we had to wait ANOTHER week; came in, the wax wasn't really up to par. The guy said to bring in our diamonds next time and then I could see my center and side stones in the wax.
So, ANOTHER week goes by and all the guy did was set the dias on top of the wax, not like the photos I've seen here on PS. The wax looked alright, but not smooth, the guy said he would smooth it out and we could come back in a week to see if it was okay to be sent in to get cast. I'm getting 14K white gold and the jeweler said it would take 2-3 weeks to get it back.........Well, it's been 3 weeks now. No call.
We are going to call in the morning, and it better be in!! It seems like I've waited FOREVER for this ring and it almost feels like I'm NEVER going to get it. Who knows how long it will take them to set all of my diamonds and polish?!? I'm to the point where I would NOT recommend this jeweler cause of the time it is taking! All I can say is, this better be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen to be worth all this waiting.
Am I just being spoiled and too impatient?
