What else do you put on a save the date? These are going to be postcards, this will be one side and the other will be a traditional postcard, half the side blank for me to write a little hand written note OR I can have a pre-printed message on that side as well, but I don''t know what to say in either case

But really my question is what else do you put besides the date? Our names will go on the other side if I''m putting another message on it, or on the bottom right corner if it doesn''t look too crowded.

The other question is do those two fonts look funny together? Is this too plain? Should I add some kind of image/clipart/graphic/symbol? I''ve been looking at it too long! I thought it looked really odd to have the same font all over it, but maybe this is too much of a mix? What do you guys think?

Sorry for all the questions, it''s just that I''m finally starting to throw myself at planning because I''m getting more and more worried that next September will be here before I know it and we''ll have nothing done!

I would put your names on the front,
also the location (at least city, state)
where you are getting married.

We had more room so we included our venue, it''s website, the hotel where we had blocks,
and our wedding website, where we indicated more information was available

But really for getting them to "save the date" as long as you tell them the date (and that the formal invite is to follow, which you did) I think it''s fine

I agree that the names should be on the front. Also, if you have a wedding website, you should put that on there.

I like the font choice and don''t think it looks weird at all.

Thanks guys, I think I will put our names on the front like you suggested, we don''t really have a wedding website but I have been thinking about making one, I just don''t know where to go, the knot ones that they give you aren''t really what I''m looking for, but I''m worried about getting one of the other ones and then not having enough information to fill it. So I don''t think I''d have anything ready enough to put the website on the save the date by the time we get them printed.

I was thinking about putting the city on there, but wasn''t sure which city to put! The ceremony is technically in a different city than the reception but most people just consider it part of Delafield (which is where the reception is). It''s like with Milwaukee or Madison, if you tell people one of those, they know around where you mean, if you narrow it down to Franklin, or Stoughton, unless they''re around there they''re less likely to know what you''re talking about. So what do you put? The actual name of the city or the main one?

Nashotah, WI? or Delafield, WI? Nashotah/Delafield, WI? I guess that last one looks funny though...

from what you describe I''d put the name of the town the reception is in,if that is the better known/more major city/town.
plus details will follow in the invite anyway

I posted mine on PS last week. Link

We put our names, date, location and the address of our wedding website.
