Sorry if this is a dumb question, but will diamond earring jackets for faceted diamond studs also work for round freshwater pearl studs?

I saw this pair of diamond earring jackets for 4mm diamond studs and I was wondering if round pearls would work with them as well? And if so, what size pearls would work? Would they need to be 4 mm pearls? Or could you go as high as 5mm or 6mm round pearls and still look nice with these style jackets?

Also: would this 4mm pair of diamond jackets work for a pair of diamond studs where each of the diamonds are 4.3 mm? Or would that be too snug? I would think going up half a size would be too loose, though (the diamond studs I would be using them for are 0.61 tcw ). Thanks in advance for your feedback! I literally have zero experience with diamond jackets, period. So I guess I'm also wondering if this type of jacket would make my fiance's earlobes droop? The jackets measure just under 8 mm each, so they're not huge or anything. But I'm curious about possible earlobe drooping.

Very pretty! But the pair of diamond jackets I'm asking about are for diamond studs that are 0.50 tcw (or approximately 4mm each). How big could the Pearls be for diamond jackets that are designed for 4 mm faceted diamonds?

IMHO 4mm in diameter for the pearl to sit properly inside the halo.

Hence I provided the dimensions of all the studs in my post - all 6mm in diameter.

My advice would be to get some inexpensive pearls for size first, before splashing out on a nicer and more expensive pair.

Dohhh! My bad! You did clearly list the millimeter sizes--- that didn't register with me for some reason. Sorry! Thanks again for the size comparison pics.

But technically, aren't Jackets designed for 1 tcw studs actually made for diamonds that are approximately 5 mm each? Which means your 6 mm pearls are one size up mm-wise and still look great.

Not for my pair of jackets!

My bezel-set studs are 6mm in overall diameter when set.

It depends on the jackets - they are all different, hence my suggestion to get some cheapo pearls studs to try for size first.

I can only speak from my own experience with my own pieces.

Please perform your own due diligence.

Very wise advice! I'll definitely get some cheapo sterling silver round 4 mm and 5 mm pearl studs and see how they fit first. And thanks again for the advice and the picture examples!
