A spacer is usually needed when there are diamonds with exposed girdles on the wedding band touching the prongs on the e-ring. For a plain solitaire with a plain band, you wouldn't need a spacer.
Thanks Kim. I was wondering in case the plain band is rubbing under one of the prongs.
That should be fine, especially if they're the same metal.
Any one else?
Hi all
I am thinking of getting a new set made. It will be a plain solitaire with a plain band. Was wondering if a spacer is sometimes needed for these?
Please share pictures if you have a plain set with a spacer.
Thanks in advance
Nope, no spacer required. You only need a spacer if there are diamonds with exposed girdles on a band because it can scratch the metal of the other band (or the diamonds on the other band) electron dash
