Does anyone have this wedding band and can tell me the specifications of the diamonds in it, on their website it only says what the carat weight is?

Or if anyone already has a Tiffany wedding band, if they could tell me what the name of that wedding band and the specs for it, it would be much appreciated.

Trying to decide if they are worth the price tag. My ering is Tiffany so ultimately I will choose Tiffany to match, but I'm curious...

Call Tiffany's to inquire about their products. They are very helpful!

Good luck in your search - I'm sure you'll find a beauty!

So I visited the Tiffany store. It's like a year away from my wedding still... what can you say I'm extremely eager or a loser or both.

Well just to update this topic I visited the Perth (AU) store this weekend, although my ering is from Tiffany's and I plan on getting my wedding band from there, I am so disillusioned with them because of the horrible service I've had every time I've visited their store. Mostly because not one sales assistant could comprehend a person what might actually want to wear an ering without feeling like their finger is falling off because of how tight it is. I have had my ring resized three times there, and I have only owned it for a year. First time they made it a 4.5 - I could wear it until 3pm in the afternoon when it came so tight I had to use soap to get it off. Then they changed it to size "I and a half leading edge" - insisting that a size 5 would be to big. By the third resize, I had to be extremely firm and request a size 5, and not listen to their advice. Still the woman I was speaking to insisted that I shouldn't change it, and even though she relented and let me change it, she made it very clear that she didn't want to. When I finally got it back after two weeks I was so relieved - for the first time after wearing it for 8 months it didn't hurt. In the summer now it feels tight, but not painful. I actually think once I have a wedding band I will actually have to resize it again!

Thank god all that is over now, and I can wear my ring and actually enjoy wearing it. And on the plus side, I was not charged once for all those resizes. So at least I'm getting my money's worth from Tiffany. Sort of.

All that ranting aside, to answer my own question -

When I asked the saleslady about the specs of their wedding rings I was told that the diamonds range between D to G in colour, and are no lower than VS2 in clarity. Of course they don't provide certificates for diamonds that small and I was told that you don't know what you are getting in the ring (bit of a lucky dip really), so there's no real way of knowing for sure if any of the diamonds are higher than a G colour, but it is nice to know that you are getting something a little above the norm which is something that you at least hope for when you are buying something Tiffany. (ie more expensive).

I also asked the saleslady about the cut. I gave her the opportunity to tell me why Tiffany's is better (because if not, why am I paying for it?) - but all she could say is that the diamonds are full cut - not single cut, but since most melee diamonds are full cut these days it wasn't much of a dealbreaker. I was kind of hoping there might be something more to them. Anyway.

While I was there I tried on the shared setting, channel setting, novo and plain knife bands. Initially I wanted something blingier so I was surprised that the two bands that I liked the most were the channel setting and the knife band. The channel was my favourite. Which is again surprising because I have always despised channel set. Maybe it is something about the way they make the band - the metal sides really didn't stand out at all, in fact I barely noticed them and it looked like a row of diamonds except maybe more pronounced. What I was really shocked about is that I didn't feel like the shared setting looked any bigger or sparklier than the others, and since that band is actually at least another $2000 in AU I certainly didn't see the point in paying that much more for it unless it was a knock-out.

Whilst I was there I made boyfriend (I hate the word fiance, so he's boyfriend until the wedding) try on some bands to see which one he likes (so we know what our budget is ;) and he liked the Lucida wedding band ring 4.5 mm ($2200). I always envisioned the matching knife band for him as I have a .30 ct solitare knife band ering but the knife band was so tiny. The Lucida was perfect for him I had to admit as the only other item of jewellery he has is a large chunky stainless steel watch, and the Lucida looked like it would go perfect.

So there you go. In case anyone was wondering. I wanted to take pictures of the combos - but was so overwhelmed and also scared to ask - totally regretting it now. When I go in to make my final decision months and months from now, and I'm actually going to give them money I may ask and post them here!

This is an interesting question because I read that Tiffany is now using SI1 stones, but I don't know if that means they'll sell SI1 engagement rings as such, or if they use SI1 stones in other pieces (like in their celebration rings or anywhere else in their line).

With the little book I got with my ering I think I remember reading that they will go down to Si1 in their erings, and either H ir I colour I think it was. (I might double check that).

With their other pieces since it's mostly melee I don't think they go lower than VS2. I know (now) that they won't go past VS2 for their wedding rings, and I'm not totally sure about their other pieces of jewellery, although when I have seen other pieces on non AU Tiffany sites (the UK one I think) I have never seen them go lower than G VS2.
