... and diamonds, of course!

My V-Day gift/birthday present from the husband this year is an vintage Art Deco ring featuring a five-pointed star picked out in diamonds. The seller didn''t know too much about it: it''s white gold, and the center stone is .32 points, with a guesstimated additional 30 points of melee. The melee are single cut! Geek that I am, that makes me very happy. The center stone looks like a modern RB to me, and I''d guess it''s original to the ring from the wear on the prongs (those babies are almost perfectly flat). I really love it!

Could it originally have been from a fraternal organization? One of them--the Masons??--used five-pointed stars as a symbol.

Hey Circe! Very pretty! We''re in our own little "star" club now I guess. LOL. Sigh... all I got for V-day was a photograph of a Valentine (boyfriend is back east at the moment) Lucky you got some pretty sparklies!
