Hey, maybe I posted this during my previous stint here, but I can't recall, and I am sure there are new members who haven't seen it. Anyway, I found this at a local Mom and Pop jeweler and HAD to have it. It's a natural stone with a great star, much better than shown in these photos. Made from Stuller X1 palladium WG alloy. Had it appraised by another jeweler and it was valued at double what I paid, FWIW.

Ooh this is so lovely. Beautiful glow. Wonderful color. Gorgeous setting. Nicely done.

That is a gorgeous star sapphire and the ring is perfect for it.

Really gorgeous! The color is spectacular.

Wow, it's gorgeous!!!

Wow I love it!

That is really cool!

Thanks. The jeweler bought the stone at the Tucson gem show. There's a dark area you can see on the left side of the sapphire. Were it not for that the price would have been a lot higher. I don't care as it does not affect the asterism. I have the appraisal somewhere. Maybe I'll dig it out and post "official" details. As I noted above, the appraisal was done by a 3rd party and I didn't tell them what I had paid. Maybe I'll try to get some photos in natural light to better show the star.

Lovely stone...I love the brushed finish on the setting!
