Stepping into Lab/MMD Territory

Just bought these in 10K WG to see what they are like.

I hesitated at first, as I did not have a good experience with his other store when I tried to commission a ring.

This is the only pair of stud earrings with push backs rather than screw backs, inexpensive, and I like the look of them.

I shall report back and post IRL pics once I have them in hand.

I have an issue with earrings, in that I cannot stop buying them!

In addition to these, I have another 2 pairs in mind and have already started to make enquiries with the bench I use in China about having them made in earth diamonds, and have also asked if they would stock and make jewellery with labs/MMDs too.

Big mistake to venture into Lab/MMD territory, as I now have many ideas going through my head!!!

Shelving my desire for a 8-9mm medium blue Sapphire in Jeff W's signature Asscher cut, and re-allocating the budget to Lab/MMD projects instead.

The budget for this Sapphire should be sufficient for at least a couple of Lab/MMD projects.

Like a pair of pears about 0.8ct each, to be made into interchangeable drops to be worn with my existing diamond huggies, or the new pair that I am having made with bigger diamonds.

Not intentionally.

When I placed my order, I thought I was buying stock items as that's the only pair of earrings with push backs and not screw backs.

However, Vijay messaged me right away and asked if I wanted push backs or screw ones. I confirmed I wanted push backs, and he sent me the CAD a day or so later.

A good size for casual dressing, and very sparkly, I like them.

Down the rabbit hole I go, and don't come and rescue me!!!

This is what I am considering next, a 7-stone cluster earrings (with push backs), from Ouros again.


I am asking the bench in China that I use regularly to price up a similar pair in diamonds so that I could compare the prices, before I decide which version to purchase.

Each earring has a 3.5mm centre stone surrounded by 6 x 2.8mm stones.

Ouros has another cute pair of earrings that I am eyeing besides these!

My studs are G/H and VS, and the jackets are similar in colour and lower in clarity. Probably need a clean as I can't remember ever cleaning them!

The 7-stone cluster studs will cost a lot more in mined stones in H/I SI quality, so they will be another lab/MMD purchase.

I may order another pair of studs in a different design from Golden Bird as they are more affordable!
