Stick with research or go with whiteflash?

Hi guys,

Just wanted to say that I have a budget around 2400 USD for the actual diamond. I've narrowed my choices down to a few that I have found on Blue Nile after many hours of reading. But I have no idea how they fare compared to just going with a vetted company like whiteflash. Not sure how silly it was to spend hours searching only to go with whiteflash in the end.

Are all of these all a far cry from whiteflash? Would I be better off purchasing a smaller diamond?

Thanks for helping me with my final decision to purchase

Can’t imagine having buyers remorse if you go with WF lol.

$2,490 wire price.

Welcome to PriceScope, Kerospa!
Put this beautiful ACA on hold ASAP (or buy it immediately)...better color, VS1 just as eye-clean as any VVS, and a far superior upgrade program for life. Win-win!

Thanks for the prompt replies guys Guess WF completely blows the other diamond out of the water by a far margin.

It would be a rose gold halo channel setting if that makes a difference to the color.

If you’re doing a rose gold setting you can probably dip into the I color range and save a few bucks and go bigger…

$2,335 wire price.

... depending on your color sensitivity and tolerance, you could probably even push into the J-K realm and still have a diamond that faces up extremely bright and white. Ask WF to compare the 0.617 G, the 0.625 I, and this one...all in the same video(s).

Here's a great video showing a sub-1ct K color in a platinum setting:

Nice! I agree, if one doesn’t mind the warmth this would face up nicely in rose gold!

Much as I love Blue Nile, Whiteflash has stones guaranteed to be top notch for cut and has the best upgrade policy I’ve heard of.

The 3rd one looks lovely actually and should be comparable to an ACA, but I personally would only take anything H+ in color instead. Can't trust the I color at BN to not have any yellow tint lol.

I am very perplexed by this post. Comparable to ACA? The stone is not even Astor quality much less ACA. Quality of the cut will not be comparable to ACA. The cut of that particular stone is mediocre. Furthermore, why cannot you trust I colored stones from BN? Do I colored diamonds magically get yellower when purchased from BN? The stone is graded by GIA, thus it is an I, regardless where it comes from. It will have a slight tint but in the size OP picked out, it will be negligible, nearly unrecognizable from an H.

Consider the K! I love my ideal cut K. It is truly as white as the one in the video. I can only see tint if I look at it from the side. But who does that, when you could watch the light show coming from the top?

Here is a pic I took today.

Hi guys, I'm back.
I'd like to just say thank you for all the opinions that have been given here. It's made me think a lot about what I'm looking for. Didn't end up selecting the 0.82 because my partner wanted something smaller to combine with the halo setting she wants.

I did asked for a video that showcased the 0.625 diamond though. I'll be honest, I'm not really sure what I was expecting to see! Originally was tempted by the 0.54 but I can see that size does seem to make quite a big difference.

From this video, I'm more tempted by the 0.575 compared to the videos on the WF website itself. Would be great to receive some help for my finalizing process. :oops2:

What’s the price difference on the 0.575 and 0.625?

Roughly $200. The 0.575 is actually the cheapest price wise out of the three.

What do you see as different between the .62 and .57? For a difference of $200, I would be tempted to go with the .62 for the size difference unless something really jumps out at you as different between the two.

Same for me...if the 0.82 is going to seem too big, then I'd choose the 0.62
