Hello. Thank you for your comments on my previous post. I mentioned to the seller about my concerns with too much windowing on the stone and he recut the part that was bothering me. How does it look now? The culet is much thinner and the facets that surround the culet seem to reflect more light. I appreciate your insight.

You could drive a truck through that huge keel.

Yes. It is larger. Your comment was funny. I thought that was a style though?

Here is how true antiques look. The keep is "open", but it is subtle.

Here is a more authentic looking antique style emeral lab that @petrock<3 owns.

This stone you are considering is vey elongated, more than you typically see in a true antique, and the overall facet pattern resulted in a very long keel... but they have really exaggerated it. Do you like how it looks?

It's not personally my preference because the keel/culet is so giant. But if you like it then that's what matters

I like the clipped/cut corners, the longer length, and the peach color. I don't love the large culet but when the stone isn't blown up to screen size I am guessing it will not be so pronounced. You guys seem to have a critical eye, so it is better to have more experience people look at it. I appreciate the input. I do appreciate that the seller was willing to try to fix what was bothering me. But I am worried about purchasing a dud. I have no idea where to find stones with the large clipped/cut corners or if there is a term for it.

Warning: I don’t know anything about this particular cut…but doesn’t Inked have one for sale in preloved? Is that an option if this one doesn’t work out? I think or at least to me it has the large clipped corners and the smaller keel (do I have that right?).

That's a great option imo

Alex Park in instagram sells nice looking antique style labs.

Thank you. Where would I find that? I have used this site to read up on things but have not used it that much. Do I look for a preloved section?

Ok, let’s see if this link works @freida

Just click on anywhere inside of the picture that posted :)

Thank you. I found it. I do prefer the more elongated shapes. And I’m not sure if the videos posted by inked are out of focus or if it has some foggy reflection I the center. Any leads on elongated shapes or are there any other terms of the cut corners?

Hmmmm I wish I could be more helpful! I’m not very familiar with these types of shapes and lean more towards rounds or ovals. Dreamer mentioned Alex Parks on IG which might be a great option for you :)

LOL, that would be iPhone 15 for ya... it's very poor quality, those were just 2 "GIFs" from my iphone, i requested people who were serious to email me for videos ;)2

I definitely recommend Alex Park! I have bought like 7 lab diamonds I think from him! Not sure if he does elongated but you could maybe DM him? Its hard because you cant filter for a culet on Ritani with emeralds or it would be really easy!

Geeze I get it with the phone. I am an "old lady" so I am still trying to catch up with technology. Your diamond seems beautiful, but I am partial to more elongated shapes. I will check out Alex Park for sure. Thank you!

Caysie Van Beber sourced a cutter for me that made my antique style emerald. I lost patience waiting for one from Alex Park but that was two years ago I think he’s making more now. His are very pretty depends on which style you like his are maybe more elongated asscher.

How did Caysie’s cutter compare price wise to Alex Park?
