My wedding is getting close (June 13) and I''ve been eating a lot due to the stress! Anybody else having this problem?

I''ve always held all of my weight in the belly area and I really want to look cute in my bikini for the honeymoon--we leave on June 20 so I''ve got almost a month. I''d like to lose about 5 pounds, mostly in my stomach (10 or 15 would be better but I know it''s probably not realistic). I drink a lot of soda so I''m going to try and cut that out. Anybody have any other suggestions? Is there still a weight loss thread somewhere? (I couldn''t find it.)

Look under forums for "Healthy Living"

Sorry, it''s Healthier Lifestyle. You can tell I''m not on there much!

Cutting out soda is good.

I find that cutting out white rice, pasta, white bread, anything else made with white flour or white sugar works well too. [Note: I do not cut out the wine.] Not only do I lose fat but I also retain less water.

I''m there with ya sister! I just put away a piece of cheesecake!

Water, cardio, reduce sodium intake, reduce caffeine... It will reduce bloat which may make you look like you''ve lost 5lbs... and it''s the best way to look leaner in the belly alone. There''s no way to simply "spot train", as you seem to know. You''ll look fab, I''m sure! Don''t deprive yourself, though, because if you do and then "relax" on the honeymoon, your GI system & waistline may not be so pleased.

Fill the house with your favorite fresh fruit and veggies that way when you go to grab something...it''s healthy and low calorie!

I''m such a stress eater so I totally feel your pain. When I was in school, every finals period I''d put on 10 pounds and then spend the whole next semester taking it off...so not healthy!

This is SOOO true, the last thing you want to do is spend your honeymoon on the toilet

I feel your pain! I over eat at all stressful times. Kind of like Lexie in that Grey's Anatomy episode if you watch. And if there is a sweet in front of me, I am hard pressed not to eat one, two on a bad day. Sooooo...

Replace as many beverages as you can with water. Diet soda doesn't count, the carbonation can expand your stomach and make you feel hungry I have been told. (don't know how true it is though). Make all carbs whole grain. Fill up on fruits and veggies and a glass of water before every meal.

Remember, no matter what, he is marrying you because he loves you, and you will be a beautiful bride no matter what!

ETA: Great wedding date choice

Mine is next year on the same date!

I eat pretty healthy and work out a lot every Mon-Fri, then pretty much do what I want on the weekends and I swear it works. You may want to have just one cheat day instead of two though if you have a timeline. I''m sure you''ll look great though!

Cut out the soda and sodium for sure! (I should take my own advice, lol

) I''m not a huge water person, but I love the Crystal Light diet teas. It turns water into juice without the sugar. Yum!

I drink about a gallon every two days!

I''d cut out the pop for sure - and even "fake" sugars like crystal light. These cause bloating. Water really is best ;) Do you like green tea? That always tastes good to me....
Low sodium, low sugar, 5-6 small meals per day and of course hit the gym!

I have 3 months until my wedding, but only 2 until my "pool side bridal party". EEK!!!! I also carry my weight in my belly. I hate that!!
